From what I’ve found, there are many types of open marriages and many different interpretations of what it means to be a vixen.
I am here to share one female’s reality as a vixen in an open marriage, as it happens.
Let’s begin with terminology. Urbandictionary provided some of the better definitions my husband and I prefer:
Vixen: “A wife or girlfriend in a committed relationship who seeks a male for sex with the permission of her stag husband, without any bi-sexual play or humiliation of her stag.”
Stag: “A dominant monogamous husband who shares his wife with other men for her sexual pleasure.”
Stallion: “A guy who fucks happily-married wives and girlfriends with the husband’s permission but without the bi-play or humiliation of the other man that bulls typically engage in.”
Essentially, I am free to sleep with whomever I want, whenever I want. I may date or have one-night stands or even develop long-term fuckbuddy relationships. The only rules are safety, communication and the assurance that nothing and no one will break our union. How do we accomplish the latter? By committing to the former, although that is a blog post in and of itself. I am empowered to control my sex life with the love and support of my husband.
